Starting a new character on Dragon Age: Origins. =]
“Ser Perth stands watch with his fellow knights by the windmill, guarding the approach from the castle’s bridge. Elisssa mentions the oil she found in the village store and asks what she can do to help. Ser Perth wants Elissa to ask Mother Hannah to bless the knights for the attack. She refuses, believing that Ser Perth wants mystical protection from the Maker - which it is not within her (or anyone’s) power to give. Elissa convinces Mother Hannah into providing ordinary amulets for the knights, letting them believe in their “holy” protection to raise their morale.”
“Elissa finds Owen’s door locked, though she persuades Owen into opening the door. Owen refuses to fix the militia’s armor unless Elissa and her party promise to look for his daughter, Valena, in the Redcliffe Castle. Elissa promises to look for Valena, after which Owen starts repairing the militia’s armor. After talking with Owen, Elissa makes her way to the tavern. The militiamen are complaining about not getting free ale from the bartender, Lloyd. Elissa talks to Lloyd and persuades him to give the men free drinks.”
“Bann Teagan sends Elissa to talk with the mayor, Murdock, and Ser Perth about the militia and the knights, respectively. Before heading outside of the Chantry, Elissa notices a woman sobbing. Her brother is missing and she is worried sick. Elissa reassures Kaitlyn not to worry and that they will look for her brother. Murdock is right outside the chantry and makes two requests: convince Owen to make repairs for the militia and to convince Dwyn to come out of his home and help defend the village.”
“Alistair recommends that the party journey to Redcliffe, his childhood home, in order to obtain the assistance of Arl Eamon Guerrein. However, when the party arrives, they find the town besieged by an undead army and the Arl gravely ill.”
“Zevran was hired by Loghain and Arl Howe to assassinate Elissa, who is lured into an ambush on The Long Road. After overcoming the ambush, Elissa notices that one of the assassins is still alive. Rather than killing him, Elissa allows him to speak in his defence. After the interrogation is over, Zevran asks to join the group, offering to protect and serve Elissa in exchange for his life.”

Alistair: Bad dreams, huh?
Elissa: It seemed so real…
Alistair: Drank, more like. As in the tainted blood, remember? You see, part of being a Grey Warden is being able to hear the darkspawn. That’s what your dream was. Hearing them. The archdemon, it… “talks” to the horde, and we feel it just as they do. That’s why we know this is really a Blight.
Elissa: The archdemon? Is that the dragon?
Alistair: I don’t know if it’s really a dragon, but it sure looks like one. But yes, that’s the archdemon. It takes a bit, but eventually you can block the dreams out. Some of the older Grey Wardens say they can understand the archdemon a bit, but I sure can’t. Anyhow, when I heard you thrashing around, I thought I should tell you. It was scary at first for me, too.
Elissa: Thank you, Alistair. I appreciate it.
Alistair: That’s what I’m here for. To deliver unpleasant news and witty one-liners. Anyhow, you’re up now, right? Let’s pull up camp and get a move on.
“Just outside the north end of Lothering proper, a Qunari warrior named Sten has been imprisoned for killing a family. Elissa convinces him to seek atonement by joining the battle against the Blight, but she must find a way to release him from the cage. Elissa and her party make their way over to the Chantry to obtain the key for Sten’s cage. With a bit of persuasion and an convincing argument from Leliana, the Revered Mother hands over the key and releases Sten into Elissa’s custody.”
